The Arts
+ Art Club
This club will be focused on creative freedom and expression. Students will be encouraged to create art that has meaning to them.
Details:
+ Craft a Change
The Craft a Change Club gets together weekly to make and sell handmade items. All proceeds will go to a cause that helps our local community. Students will learn how to use Excel, to inventory, and to make different crafts. Students will also learn to set up shop and market their wares.

+ Grace Notes (Elementary Choir)
Grace Notes is a new after-school elementary choir directed by Mrs. Nichols. It is open to students in grades 2-4 who love to sing! A simple audition is required. Weekly rehearsals will be on Mondays, 3:30-4:20 pm, beginning September 25. Additional information will go out this week!

+ Jazz Choir
Small, student directed vocal ensemble specializing in vocal jazz and pop music. Available to students enrolled in the HS choir elective or by faculty approval. Audition required.

Ridgeview's Fine Arts Department will have opportunities to participate (both cast & crew) in a Fall Play, Middle School Musical and Spring Musical. Stay tuned for our exciting line-up.
Fall Play Details:

- Auditions for The Learned Ladies by Moliere, Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm (student only need to attend one date)

STEM
+ Elementary Chess Club
K-6 ChessMates is a fully instructional club that takes place weekly. There are two groups split by grade, K-3 and 4-6.

+ First Tech Robotics
Upper school students participate in First Tech Challenge and learn to think like engineers. Teams will design, build, and code robots to accomplish tasks and compete against other teams.

+ High School Science Bowl (Informational Meeting: September 11th in room 202)
Science Bowl is a Jeopardy-style competition in which students compete to answer a broad swath of STEM-related questions. Topics include Earth Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, and others. The club will hold practice weekly starting September 11th. The practices culminate in a competition in the Spring against other schools from Northern Colorado.

+ Lego Robotics
Lower school student in will participate in the First Lego League. Teams will design, build, and code robots to accomplish tasks and compete against other teams.

Math club gives students in grades 6-8 the opportunity to explore math outside the curriculum in a fun environment.

+ Classics Club
Classics Club gives students the opportunity to explore Greek and Latin outside the curriculum in a fun environment. Classics Club will also be planning and organizing a summer trip to Greece.

+ Climbing Club
Climbing Club will take trips to local outdoor bouldering areas around Horsetooth Reservoir as well as climbing gyms in Fort Collins. Bouldering is a discipline of climbing short (8-15 feet) "problems". No experience or equipment is necessary and climbs of all difficulty levels will be available.

+ Cross Stitching Club
Cross-stitching club is a gathering of students who work on cross-stitch projects once a week. Students, with the help and guidance of a teacher, pick out their own projects. No experience is necessary. Open to students in 5-8 or with permission of Mrs. Stephens.

Student submit poems, short stories, or chapters. We will read and discuss these submissions as a group. This club will emphasize appreciation and encouragement.

Hoplite Helpers (7&8) is for students that are interested in service and volunteerism. These students will make a positive impact as they serve others in their school and community.

Mock Trial is a student court-room drama for students. There are elements of argumentation, acting, forensic oratory, and sleuthing.

+ Quill Club
Quill Club is for students in 4-6 grade that would like to improve their writing and public speaking skills. Each week, we will have dedicated time for writing and working on any creative writing projects. We will also have time to share and receive feedback and encouragement from fellow writers.
